Dr. Carolyn Longacre, DC, C.A.C.
Chiropractor | Certified Animal Chiropractor | Writer | Creative | Owner
Affectionately known as “Dr. D,” Dr. Carolyn Longacre is a multi-faceted chiropractor, certified animal chiropractor, writer, and creative rooted in Greenville, South Carolina. She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Western Carolina University (2005) and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University (2012). After launching her career in Knoxville, Tennessee, she has proudly served the Greenville/Mauldin community since 2017.

Dr. Longacre’s passion for chiropractic began as a teenager, witnessing her father—a general contractor—struggle with chronic back pain. His natural recovery through chiropractic care not only restored his health but also ignited her calling. She began shadowing his chiropractor, observed the transformative results firsthand, and knew she was meant to serve others through the healing power of chiropractic.
Her belief in natural healing deepened through her own journey—overcoming chronic sinus issues, allergies, and recurring ear infections not through surgery or medications, but through consistent chiropractic adjustments. This experience fuels her dedication to caring for children and pregnant mothers. She has been Webster Technique certified since 2015 and is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

In 2024, Dr. Longacre expanded her care to the animal world. She completed a 240-hour certification through Animal Chiropractic Education Source (ACES), an additional 20-hour certificate in Food Animal Adjusting, and earned official certification through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA)—the gold standard in the field. She has also completed advanced training in both canine and equine chiropractic, deepening her ability to serve a wide variety of species with precision and compassion. She now provides care to both humans and animals—including horses, dairy cattle, chickens, and beloved companion animals.

Her deepest passion lies in adjusting food animals. She believes that improved mobility, neurological function, and reduced stress in livestock not only promote ethical animal care—but also contribute to higher quality, healthier food.
Dr. Longacre currently serves as President of the International Chiropractic Association’s Council of Animal Chiropractic, where she advocates for education, ethics, and excellence in this growing specialty.

She is also a published chiropractic researcher with contributions including:
– “Improved ambulation, quality of life and decreased pain in a 64-year-old female with polymyalgia rheumatica and multiple neuromusculoskeletal symptoms undergoing chiropractic care” (Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, 2017)
– “Measurement of lumbar lordosis in static standing posture with and without high-heeled shoes” (Journal of Chiropractic Medicine, 2012)
– “Vascular ultrasound measurements after Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic care in a patient with Bow Hunter Syndrome” (Journal of Chiropractic Medicine, 2018)
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Longacre is a published freestyle poet, with two books—Click! Clack! and Letters From Me to You. She is also a creator of holistic art, ranging from drawing and painting to crafting organic soaps, scrubs, and handmade goods. With a background in personal training, she incorporates movement, strength, and flexibility guidance into her care plans to help patients achieve full-body wellness.
Dr. Longacre lives in Greenville with her husband Aaron, their two daughters, three cats, and two dogs—surrounded by love, purpose, and a life devoted to healing.

Dr. Amber Ayers, DC | Chiropractor
For as long as she can remember, Dr. Amber Ayers has had one driving passion: helping animals live long, healthy lives. That lifelong love led her to Clemson University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary studies. After graduation, she worked as a veterinary technician, and it was there that a deeper calling emerged.

Seeing firsthand that animals needed more than conventional medicine could offer, Dr. Ayers began searching for a more holistic path. Her research led her to chiropractic care. A discipline that aligned with her philosophy of treating the whole body, and addressing the root cause of dysfunction. One that allowed her to serve both people and animals alike.

Dr. Ayers graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic in March 2026. During her time at Sherman, she served as President and Vice President of the Applied Kinesiology, Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), and Animal Chiropractic clubs, reflecting her deep commitment to growing within the profession.
She is certified in Applied Kinesiology, Activator, and Koren Specific Technique (KST), and brings a wide range of techniques to her practice including Thompson, Diversified, TIC, BGI, Logan Basic, and Graston. This diverse skill set allows her to tailor every visit to the unique needs of each patient, whether that patient walks in on two legs or four.
Her dedication to animal chiropractic runs deep. Dr. Ayers completed her training through ACES (Animal Chiropractic Education Source) and is a candidate for certification through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), having completed over 240 additional hours of coursework in animal anatomy, physiology, chiropractic philosophy, and adjusting technique. She works with any animal that has a spine, from household pets to horses and beyond.

In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Ayers incorporates functional nutrition into her practice, providing the body with the essential building blocks it needs to grow, heal, and function as it was designed to. Dr. Ayers’ mission is simple: remove interference from the nervous system and allow the body, human or animal, to adapt, heal, and thrive. She is especially moved by the way animals respond to care. Their honest, unconditional nature reveals the true power of chiropractic in its purest form.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Ayers enjoys life in Anderson, South Carolina with her husband and their two dogs and two cats.
